Network
Administration Fees – Executive Summary
Effective January 1, 2007, NACHA, the
national administrator of the ACH Network, will
begin assessing Network Administration Fees to all
financial institutions that use the ACH Network. All
depository financial institutions that use the ACH
Network will pay these fees, including those that
choose not to be members of Regional Payments
Associations.
Network Administration Fees will have
two components—an annual fee, and a per-entry fee.
For 2007, the annual fee will be $42, and the
per-entry fee will be $0.0001 for all inter-bank and
Federal government ACH transactions, covering
originated and received debits and credits and
non-dollar transactions. Through an annual fee, all
financial institutions will contribute a minimum
amount to the maintenance of the NACHA Operating
Rules. Through per-entry fees, all financial
institutions will contribute to risk management,
quality, and other Network administration programs
in direct proportion to their use of the Network.
For 2008, the annual fee will be $48, and the
per-entry fee will remain $0.0001.
