AAP Licensing of Courses The AAP program has continuing education requirements associated with maintaining accreditation and NACHA encourages all organizations involved in the electronic payments industry to offer education activities for members, clients, customers, prospects and personnel. Many financial institutions, educational organizations and service providers apply to use the AAP logo in their marketing materials to encourage participation at their conferences and training sessions. Organizations interested in using the AAP logo for their programs must complete and sign the application for licensing of continuing education courses, which includes a Limited License Agreement for use of the AAP logo, and the approved AAP tag line. Organizations must include a timed agenda outlining specific course content, length of sessions, scheduled breaks and meals and name(s) of presenters/speakers. One application should be submitted per program. If the program is presented multiple times at various dates and locations, only one application is necessary. Please be sure to include all dates and locations on the application form. To ensure adequate time for processing, the application should be sent at least one-month prior to the program date. Fees: A fee of $50 per continuing education credit must accompany each application. This fee covers administrative costs associated with reviewing and processing applications for licensing of the AAP logo for continuing education programs. These fees will be refunded for any course that is denied approval for AAP continuing education credit. Course Eligibility Sessions covering subjects related to electronic payments, as called out in the AAP Reporting Guidelines http://www.nacha.org/aap/continuinged/2007%20AAP%20PROGRAM%20GUIDELINES.pdf may be eligible for AAP continuing education credits. The following are examples of, but not limited to, subject matters that do not qualify for AAP continuing education credits:
No Endorsement of Program Content In granting the Sponsoring Organization a non-exclusive license to utilize the AAP logo, no endorsement of either the content or the accuracy of any information provided in any continuing education courses, seminars, or training sessions is made by NACHA or the AAP Blue Ribbon Panel.
NACHA’s licensing of courses, seminars, and training sessions is based on a review of each program’s proposed subject matter to verify that it fits the topical criteria for AAP renewal credit as defined by the AAP Program Policies, and for a sponsoring organization’s and proposed speakers’ compliance with the AAP Code of Conduct and NACHA’s Code of Conduct. NACHA reserves the right to grant or refuse this application at its sole discretion.
