authenticate their customers online on behalf of third-parties? NACHA’s recent
“Beyond Credit Push” strategy paper proposed that financial institutions could
use their ability to authenticate their customers online to more widely offer an
“authentication-only” service. Federal, state and local government agencies and
private-sector companies that allow customers to manage confidential information
online are all potential users of such a service. Glenbrook Partners will
present the results of recent research aimed at defining a business framework,
and categorizing and outlining the potential market for FI-provided
authentication services. The results of this research will provide insight into
potential service models, primary business issues, and possible solutions.
