Fred Laing, II, AAP, CCM

Mr. Laing is President of the Upper Midwest Automated Clearing House Association (UMACHA). Mr. Laing is this year's Dean of The Payments Institute and has previously served as a member of the NACHA Board of Directors. He is Chairman of the NACHA Internet Council, a member of the Electronic Check Council, the Risk Management Advisory Group, and chairs the group that coordinates the activities of all of NACHA’s Councils. Fred has been an Accredited ACH Professional since 1997 and is a Certified Cash Manager.

Joseph Flannery, AAP

Mr. Flannery is Electronic Banking Risk Manager at BB&T and also serves on the Board of Directors at EastPay, Inc. Mr. Flannery was previously Director of Education with East Pay. He is involved with NACHA’s Risk Management Advisory Group and is active on several Rules Product Workgroups. This is Mr. Flannery’s first year on the TPI Board of Regents.

Chrystina M. Giorgio, AAP

Ms. Giorgio is SVP, Director of Vendor Management at Sandy Spring Bank, a $3 billion bank headquartered in Olney, Maryland. Ms. Giorgio serves on the NACHA Board of Directors and arbitration panel. This is Ms. Giorgio’s first year on The Payments Institute’s Board of Regents.

Luann S. Kohlmann, AAP

Ms. Kohlmann is Director of Education/Auditor at WACHA – The Premier Payments Resource. She is an educator, consultant, and performs ACH audits for member financial institutions. This is Ms. Kohlmann’s 2nd year as a member of The Payments Institute’s Board of Regents. She has been active on NACHA’s Audit Product Review Committee, Council for Electronic Bill Payment and the National Rules Enforcement Panel.

Kathy Levin, AAP

Ms. Levin is Managing Director and co-founder at Payments Information Circle. Ms. Levin is currently serving as Vice Chair of NACHA’s Electronic Check Council (ECC) and has been an active participant in many NACHA workgroups. This is Ms. Levin’s 3rd year as a member of The Payments Institute’s Board of Regents.

Stephanie Prebish, AAP, CTP

Ms. Prebish is Director, Education Program Development for NACHA – The Electronic Payments Association.
Ms. Prebish joined NACHA in 2004
after more than a decade in retail banking. This is Ms. Prebish’s 2nd year as program director for The Payments Institute.

Angie Smith, AAP

Ms. Smith is VP, Check Education for PaymentsNation. This is Ms. Smith’s first year serving on The Payments Institute’s Board of Regents. She was previously an instructor for the program for several years. Ms. Smith is active in NACHA’s Electronic Check Council where she currently serves on the Council’s Steering Committee as well as the WSSUP Rules Work Group.

William Sullivan

Mr. Sullivan is Senior Director, Education Services at NACHA – The Electronic Payments Association. Mr. Sullivan has been program director for The Payments Institute since 2000 and currently oversees all of NACHA’s industry education programs.

Mark Tizzard

Mr. Tizzard is EPN Strategic Business Development Manager with The Clearing House. Mr. Tizzard actively participates on a number of industry initiatives including Chair of the Electronic Check Council, member of the NACHA Marketing Management Group, The Payments Institute Board of Regents, and PayItGreen coalition.

Paul Tomasofsky

Mr. Tomasofsky is President of Two Sparrows Consulting, LLC.  Mr. Tomasofsky has been on the TPI Board of Regents and an instructor for eight consecutive years. In 2005, Two Sparrows Consulting provided advisory services to NACHA that helped form the basis for NACHA’s risk management review and RMAG initiatives. He is also a contributing author to “Electronic Payment System Compliance,” published in June, 2007 by A.S. Pratt and Sons. Mr. Tomasofsky was recently appointed Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Network Branded Prepaid Card Association. 

Stuart Williams

Mr. Williams is Manager, Payment Services for CheckFree, now a part of Fiserv. Mr. Williams has served on The Payments Institute’s Board of Regents and has been a faculty member for two years. Mr. Williams is active as part of NACHA’s Electronic Check Council, the Council for Electronic Billing and Payment, and The Internet Council.

Wendy Wishon, AAP

Ms. Wishon is Vice President of Mid-America Payment Exchange. This is Ms. Wishon’s 2nd year serving on The Payments Institute’s Board of Regents and has also been a faculty member since 2000. Ms. Wishon is active on many NACHA Councils and committees, including the Internet Council, Electronic Check Council, Cross-Council Mobile Banking Workgroup, and ACH Rules Compliance Audit Workgroup.

Gary Yamamura

Mr. Yamamura is Principal Consultant of Verifax Consulting, Inc., a payment technology consultancy serving the financial services industry. Mr. Yamamura joined the Board of Regents in 2007. He is chairman for an American Public Transportation Association (APTA) committee responsible for the development of standards for the security of mass transit payment systems.
