IAT Processing Procedures for Financial Institutions

As U.S. banks continue to prepare for IAT Implementation on September 18, 2009, questions concerning the rule itself, the implications of OFAC compliance responsibilities, and the actual process flow continue to emerge. This teleseminar addresses those questions and many more.

Focusing primarily on Debit Processing of an IAT Transaction, speakers examine the role of the Gateway Operator, procedures for OFAC screening by both the Gateway Operator and the RDFI, and the responsibilities of the RDFI for posting, suspending payments, and handling exception or return items.

This extended-length teleseminar is designed to allow significant time for questions, and features speakers from NACHA and other organizations. Now is your chance to further your understanding of IAT. You can’t afford to miss this important event, register now!

This teleseminar will be led by Debbie Barr, AAP, CTP, Senior Director, Network Rules Process, NACHA – The Electronic Payments Association and will feature presentations by Gary Sefcik, AAP, CCM, Vice President, Bank of New York Mellon and Priscilla Holland, AAP, CCM, Senior Director, International Programs, NACHA – The Electronic Payments Association.

What is a teleseminar? A teleseminar is an educational event conducted over the telephone and is an affordable and convenient education alternative. One fee does it all! One teleseminar fee can educate your entire department! Registration provides you with:

  1. Access to the teleseminar on a single telephone line. There is no limit to the number of people who may listen in and participate on that line. If you plan to have people participating from multiple locations on different phone lines, a separate registration form must be submitted and a separate registration fee must be paid for each line used.
  2. Each registered site will receive one (1) set of handout materials supplied by the speakers via a special website.

Interested in AAP credits? You may be eligible to obtain AAP credits for participation in this teleseminar! Visit www.nacha.org/aap for more information on these credits or to see how you can start the AAP application process!
