NACHA’s Estep and Sullivan Meet with British Embassy Staff
On Aug. 3, 2016, Jan Estep and Bill Sullivan met with Vice Consul for Financial Services and UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) staff of the British Embassy in Washington, DC. The meeting focused on upcoming initiatives UKTI will be working on surrounding electronic payments and ACH.
Federal Reserve Board Adopts Changes to Part II of PSR Policy
On July 21, 2016, The Federal Reserve Board announced its adoption of certain changes to part II of the Federal Reserve Policy on Payment System Risk (PSR policy), which relate to the posting rules for same-day ACH transactions and include an additional 1:00 p.m. ET posting time for forward same-day ACH transactions. The adopted changes will go into effect September 23, 2016.
Hillary Clinton Announces Running Mate
On July 23, 2016, Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton announced that she had chosen Virginia’s Sen. Tim Kaine as her running mate. As a battleground-state politician, Sen. Kaine has been described as a “moderate” and “centrist” Democrat.
