Capitol Hill Day
The Government Relations Advisory Group (GRAG) hosts an annual Capitol Hill Day for members in order to provide leaders from large and small financial institutions and Regional Payments Associations across the country, with valuable time to meet with Congressional representatives and staff to continue education on the ACH Network, ACH payments and the NACHA Operating Rules. View Capitol Hill Day resources for visiting the nation's Capitol in our Government Resources page here.
In-Person Policy Meetings
GRAG often provides testimony or requests for comment, on proposed rules, by government agencies. GRAG members hold in-person meetings twice a year in Washington, D.C. where members engage directly with payments policy makers. More recently, the group has has had pertinent dialogue discusions with CFPB Director, Richard Cordray, Congressmen Bill Huizenga, Gerald Connolly and Blaine Luetkemeyer, House Financial Services and Senate Banking counsel, government relations teams representing large fintech providers and the General Accountability Office (GAO) on the Federal Reserve investigation.
NACHA occasionally hosts a “Lunch-N-Learn” briefing on Capitol Hill to further educate Congressional staff on ACH and private sector rulemaking. These briefings further show NACHA’s thought leadership on Capitol Hill by highlighting critical industry perspectives through guest speakers and panelists.
