NACHA to Speak to Utility Companies at Upcoming Utility Payment Conference, October 20-23
HERNDON, Va., October 16, 2014 - Building upon its tradition of engaging diverse ACH Network stakeholders, NACHA —The Electronic Payments Association® today announced the launch of a new strategic corporate relations program. The corporate relations program seeks to improve engagement with business end users. Specifically, the outreach effort is designed to connect with payment-related associations with corporate memberships and leverage opportunities at their events for dialogue on ACH Network initiatives and opportunities that impact accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit management and related treasury functions.
“NACHA works diligently to engage business end users and others who use the ACH Network to provide input into the development and advancement of the Network and ACH payments,” said Janet O. Estep, NACHA President and CEO. “Through the strategic corporate relations program, we hope to further our efforts, allowing for increased and more varied input, which will ultimately help to strengthen Network advancements.”
NACHA’s strategic corporate relations initiative, which will be led by Robert Unger, senior Director at NACHA, kicks off with engagements at the following events:
In the coming months and through 2015, NACHA will be coordinating additional appearances at other corporate events and engaging in activities to ensure all Network participants are more fully heard.
The launch of the strategic corporate relations program complements other recently launched NACHA engagement initiatives. In early September, NACHA announced the formation of a Board Advisory Group. The creation of this group provides for a more formal mechanism for non-financial institution providers and users of the ACH Network to directly communicate with the NACHA Board of Directors. Additionally, in July, NACHA launched the Payments Innovation Alliance, a new membership group that serves as the voice of the payments industry, and encourages industry collaboration to help advance global payments.
