Nacha Hosts Member Meeting on Capitol Hill

On Dec. 10, 2019, Nacha’s Government Relations Advisory Group held its annual in-person meeting on Capitol Hill. The group had substantive dialogue with The U.S. Faster Payments Council, Congressman Perlmutter on cannabis banking relief, and Devron Brown on Maxine Water’s priorities in 2020 for the House Financial Services Committee. Representatives from CFPB and FDIC discussed their agencies' priorities for the coming year. Also discussed were fintech and payments as well as what to expect in Congress next year.

Additional topics included open banking, access to data, privacy policy, remittances, cryptocurrency and money service licensing.
