The Payments Institute Celebrates 30 Years of Educating Payments Professionals

Nacha program provides comprehensive curriculum for both payments novices and veterans July 16-19 in Atlanta

HERNDON, Va., June 27, 2017- Nacha—The Electronic Payments Association is celebrating the 30th year of The Payments Institute, a university-style program focused on continuing payments education for industry professionals. TPI will be held July 16-19 at the Emory Conference Center Hotel in Atlanta.
“Just as the payments industry and ecosystem have evolved over the last 30 years, so has The Payments Institute,” said Scott M. Lang, AAP, senior vice president, Association Services at Nacha. “With its incomparable, in-depth and comprehensive curriculum and respected faculty, TPI remains the smart educational investment for employers, as well as payments practitioners who want to better contribute to their organizations and grow their careers.”
TPI offers targeted areas of concentration that examine Same Day ACH, real-time payments, disruptive technologies and business models, and emerging topics in payments risk and security. The curriculum includes Schools of Study, such as Accredited ACH Professional (AAP) Prep, General Payments Systems, and Payments Risk & Compliance; an End-User Specialization and a Payments Innovations & Technologies Specialization; Lecture Halls; and a Master's Program designed exclusively for AAPs and TPI alumni. More than 40 percent of the TPI program is new in 2017.
The curriculum is geared towards the needs and practices of payments professionals on all career levels, whether they are an experienced AAP, working on getting credentialed, or are new to the industry. Attendees can earn up to 20 AAP continuing education credits for the year, and up to 25.8 CTP/CCM recertification credits.
