Rapid Evolution of Consumer Payments Examined at PAYMENTS 2013
Panel of Payments Executives from American Express, the Federal Reserve, U.S. Bank, and Claire’s Stores to Discuss Changes in Consumer Payments and Impact on the Payments Industry
HERNDON, Va., March 27, 2013 – Today, NACHA – The Electronic Payments Association announced the “Industry Agenda” general session held annually at PAYMENTS. This year’s Industry Agenda titled “Responding to Forces of Change in Consumer Payments” will examine the rapid change around the consumer and consumer payments and its impact on the payments ecosystem. The session will also explore how organizations are responding to these changes, in both proactive and reactive ways, and how their responses can determine the success of the evolving consumer relationship.
“Regulatory, economic and technological changes in the payments environment have transformed consumer payment behaviors,” said Janet O. Estep, president and CEO of NACHA. “We’re excited to be able to bring leading payments industry executives together to challenge the industry to rethink the ways in which we engage with the consumer.”

This year, PAYMENTS will be held April 21-24 in San Diego, Calif., at the San Diego Convention Center.
