Personal and professional growth is a must for everyone, whether you’re starting your career, eyeing retirement, or somewhere in between.
It’s one of the reasons Nacha introduced its on demand learning management platform SPEAK: Strengthening Payments Engagement and Knowledge.
The payments industry is anything but stagnant. Yet how much do you know about cryptocurrencies, AI, or other emerging topics? How about Same Day ACH and account validation? What will new trends mean for the industry and how are things going to change?
There is so much happening, but sometimes it’s hard to find time to get the education you need to stay abreast. Luckily, SPEAK is the ideal way to learn on your own schedule.
One of the features making SPEAK invaluable is that it’s structured for busy payments professionals. SPEAK doesn’t require you to drive to a campus and sit in a classroom. Your office, your den, pretty much anywhere there’s internet is your classroom, because SPEAK courses are on demand.
You decide what courses to take, so you’re selecting relevant content. Course levels range from beginner to intermediate to advanced, and those which are eligible for AAP and APRP continuing education credits are clearly labeled as such. There are already more than 50 courses available on SPEAK with more added all the time.
You can also be assured that SPEAK is time well spent. SPEAK is a partnership between the leaders in payments industry education: Nacha and its Payments Association members. We’re also working with industry experts and universities, all of which helps ensure that the information on SPEAK is up-to-date and relevant.
Each course has multiple video components that you can start and stop as your schedule permits, so there’s no need to sit down for a set amount of time. Have a few free minutes? Start a video. The phone rings? Stop the video and take the call. Log in, log out, and take as long as you need to complete a course. Each video runs from two to 15 minutes, so there’s no two-hour lecture hall flashback.
As you successfully complete the course work—including the chapter quizzes and final exams—you earn learning badges that can be shared on email signatures, social media profiles and your resume. Not to brag, mind you, but to show that you’ve taken advanced courses and have the knowledge needed to face today’s challenges.
And while the “hard” skills are important, don’t underestimate the “soft” skills. SPEAK’s professional development section currently includes education in business etiquette and writing professionally. Soon we will be adding courses including public speaking and how to craft a successful presentation.
Life today presents enough challenges. Bettering yourself shouldn’t be one of them.
