Smarter Faster Payments 2025: A Lot More Than Just Payments

Don’t let the name fool you.
“Despite the title of ‘Payments’ and Nacha’s position, it’s not just for those in payments. It’s for people across banking, it’s for people at fintechs. It’s for such a wide audience,” said Greg Lloyd, Head of BCM Sales North America at Endava.
Lloyd was on the Smarter Faster Payments 2025 Conference Planning Committee, and said among the things that impressed him was “the rigor that went into evaluating each session” for not just the topics, but the presenters, and the value a session will bring attendees.
Two of Lloyd’s sessions were green lighted for the event, April 27-30 in New Orleans, including one in this year’s new “AI-Driven Innovations and Strategies” track.
“What we’re trying to do is get past all the hype, all the ‘AI is magic and it’s going to solve world hunger and all this,’ and really get into some very specific use cases,” Lloyd told Nacha’s Payments SmartCast podcast.
Along with outstanding educational opportunities, Lloyd said Payments brings something else to the table: “The networking, just the caliber of people that are there, is impressive.”
A fair bit of that networking—plus a whole lot more—takes place in the exhibit hall, said Stephanie Prebish, AAP, APRP, CTP, Nacha Senior Managing Director, Association Services.
“Our exhibit hall is the solutions showcase. These are the folks who you’re going to talk to about finding ways to use technology, or to grow your business, or to interact with similar companies,” said Prebish.
