It is with great sadness that I share the sudden passing of Elliott McEntee, who served as Nacha President & CEO from November 1988 to December 2008. Under more than 20 years of Elliott’s visionary leadership, the ACH Network and Nacha experienced tremendous growth and innovation. He ushered in the introduction of numerous ACH capabilities and services, as well as new Nacha membership, education, accreditation and engagement programs.

Prior to joining Nacha, Elliott served as Associate Director for Payment Services and Policies on the staff of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System. Since his retirement from Nacha, Elliott provided consulting and advisory services to the electronic payments industry, with a focus on risk management and fraud mitigation, and served as an expert witness and industry speaker.

Elliott was a mentor, friend and confidante to many at Nacha and the across the industry throughout his decades-long career in electronic payments. He will be missed.
