Four new Nacha Operating Rules take effect later this year, and your preparations should be underway. But questions are inevitable and Nacha is here to help. On June 30, 2021, three of the new Rules begin: the Limitation on Warranty Claims, Supplementing Data Security Requirements, and a Rule addressing improper use of reversals. The Meaningful Modernization Rules is effective Sept. 17, 2021.

The place to start is the Upcoming Rules page on Nacha.org. From there you can click on each of the four Rules to get detailed information, including a section of Frequently Asked Questions about each Rule. You’ll also be able to sign up for Nacha’s Rules News emails to stay updated.
