The Payments Innovation Alliance is the industry’s leading community of smart, savvy payments professionals who believe in making innovation happen. The Alliance brings together diverse, global stakeholders—financial institutions, fintechs, solution providers, businesses and corporates, law firms and more — that can outline existing and future payment trends to help member organizations remain competitive.
Member Meetings
A key benefit of being a Participating Member of the Alliance is the myriad opportunities to meet and collaborate with peers throughout the year. Alliance Meetings are vital for networking, discussing, debating and incubating innovative solutions to help advance domestic and global payments. Our member meetings feature a variety of topics and working sessions over the course of three days and provide numerous opportunities for senior level executives and payments leaders to connect, ask questions and get answers from colleagues who are immersed in the issues on a day-to-day basis. Project Teams
In its continued efforts to shape the future of the payments industry and develop thought leadership relevant to financial services, the Alliance works through various active Project Teams. Consisting of industry stakeholders, the Project Teams are the heart of the Alliance. Team members collaborate to create tools designed to influence existing and emerging payment trends and drive change.
With its broad understanding of payments, the Alliance is the ideal industry environment for Participating Members to be both thoughtful and inclusive as we look to develop resources that can serve the entire financial services ecosystem. Participating in and leading Project Teams allow Alliance members to showcase their industry expertise. But you don’t have to be an expert to join a Project Team. Feel free to attend project team meetings to learn more from the experts and get up-to-speed on important industry trends.
Quarterly Rules Updates
Nacha offers up to five hours of complimentary Nacha Operating Rules-focused webinars for Participating and Observer members each year. The Quarterly Rules Updates are led by a Nacha Rules expert and feature live Q&A sessions to get your Rules questions answered immediately. Quarterly Rules Updates are also eligible for AAP/AFPP/APRP Continuing education credits.
There are four updates each year (once per quarter) and the webinars are generally offered at 11 a.m. ET. Registration information is sent approximately four weeks prior to the webinar. Recordings are posted in the Members Resource Center for later viewing.

Spotlight! Payments Video Challenge
The Alliance is sponsoring its second annual short video contest. Scheduled to launch in July 2025, the video contest theme is combating financial scams, with prize money totaling $10,000.
